Monty Roberts 5 inch snaffle bit with a thick mouthpiece. Black iron mouthpiece with copper inlaid in strips. The copper creates moisture in the horse's mouth for comfort, while the stronger black iron protects the copper from wear. Stainless steel Dee Ring design outside the mouth prevents pinching at the corners. Black iron is softer than stainless steel and gentler on the bars of the mouth. The thicker gauge mouthpiece distributes pressure more evenly, making it less severe when rein pressure is applied.
